Italdibipack 'Taken into Custody' at GAE Open House
Cheshire Constabulary sealed a deal for an Italdibipak 4255 Evolution one-step shrink wrapping machine during a visit to a GAE Open House Event. The Evolution is the most popular entry-level commercial machine because it offers a choice of sealing only, or sealing and shrinking, and its responsive fine-tune thermo controls allow better performance on a wider range of film substrates - with on-board computer job memory for easy changeovers.
CC Print Services Manager, Dave Rimington, originally saw the system at its first showing by GAE at Northprint and was immediately impressed by its performance:
“We had been using elastic bands or wrapping paper to bundle items and this solution will clearly speed up productivity and give a more professional finish,” he explains. “We are also involved in some quite confidential materials and the sealed bag or shrink wrap gives a more secure, tamper-proof finish.”
Mr Rimington used the intervening period to check on the market offering with CC Technician, Roy Burns, who adds: “There may be a superficial similarity between them all but the Evolution is more robust and certainly more user-friendly.”
The GAE Open House, which ran over two weeks in conjunction with Litho Supplies, attracted more than 70 visitors and hosted the BPIF finishers section meeting under the leadership of Bob Thomson.
