The StitchLiner 5500 operates from the VAC-Turbo 100 (ten stations per tower) or VAC-Turbo 60H (six stations per tower) high speed PowerCollating delivery platforms - each modular to six towers (see collators). The Hybrid StitchLiner offers improved productivity over conventional saddlestitching by completely eliminating the folding process for signatures and better performance compared to stitch/fold/trim lines, since it is a genuine saddlestitcher and the in-line 3-knife trim eliminates pre-trimming. The StitchLiner 6000 features the new Horizon VAC-Turbo 80S high speed PowerCollator delivery platform; the 80S uniquely feeds sheets up to B3 on the long edge so the sheet is not turned in the production train, allowing greater stability and increased operating speeds. Also fully-automated and JDF-ready the SL6000's instant makereadies, fast production speed and superior performance on lighter stocks makes it a must for the highly popular short-run magazine, catalogue and brochure marketplace.

27,000 sph advanced suction drum feeders with wheel-in feed trolley; features include sheet-count & optical mark reader feed modes as standard. The feed train reverses and  inverts the sheets so digital engines can print in standard sequence mode. Optional database software drive, CCD camera checking and bar code verification systems. The HOF-30 is designed to integrate into a collating/finishing line; the HOF-20 stans alone with downstream finishing systems and therefore features an integrated suction cover feed station.

The StitchLiner is fitted with two Hohner stitching heads as standard. Two further heads can be fitted (especially suitable for two-up work) and loop stitching conversion kits are also available.

The centre knife is fitted at the 3-knife trimmer section to allow 2-up production of smaller booklets - at twice the standard production speed.

The 6-page cover software allows a cover with a pre-folded extra page to be fed on its own and slightly offset on top of the interior sheets on the saddle prior to stitching so that the fold is not cut by the fore-edge knife at the 3-knife trimmer.

Specially-designed male/female creasing units for use in circumstances where stocks, print processes or grain direction cause problems with spine definition.

The MKU-54/54T is detachable mobile knife unit for Horizon floor model folders. This mobile knife unit can be connected with Horizon bookletmakers to endorse fold booklets for mailing purposes.

The HSM KP80 compacts trimmed waste and bales it in weatherproof sacks for convenient palletisation and movement. The in-feed hopper can be configured to accept waste from multiple sources.

The PK-30 preset batch kicker is designed to offset the finished books at a selected count interval to aid fast and convenient batching.

The HTS-TD is installed at fore-edge trimming section and checks the thickness of each booklet for maximum quality control. When a book thickness deviates from the correct value, the system stops.

The Horizon VAC-Turbo PowerCollator series features optional rear delivery via the 'C' tower module for simultaneous running of two separate jobs. 'R' version jogging and offset stacking receiving trays have been developed to accept work collated to the rear.

The ST-40 bypass stacker is designed for in-line operation with collating/booklet production lines to offer a stacking option without the need to reconfigure equipment. A switch on the ST-40 offers the choice of stacking or by-passing on to the downstream line.

The PJ-100 is an upright floor-standing paper jogger. The head has a variable degree of tilt with air assistance and a foot pedal operated jogging action. The PJ-100 is ideal for separation and aeration of sheets prior to loading into the collating bins to ensure optimum system performance.
